Caring is hard but rewarding work.

Could YOU be what we are looking for? We are looking for like minded individuals who are enthusiastic and caring to join our highly regarded team. Our service user’s needs vary from assisting with personal care, meal preparation to shopping and light housework and we also provide palliative care in the community.

Our aim is to support our service users with these tasks while maintaining their dignity and independence. It is a very fulfilling job but does require dedication and a professional way of working. What we do is so important to people’s lives and we like to treat our service users and staff as our family.

What is Life as a Domiciliary Carer Like?

No two days are ever the same. You are the friendly face that starts someone's morning or the reassuring presence that helps them settle in for the night. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Personal Support: Assisting with morning routines, dressing, and hygiene.

  • Practical Help: Preparing nutritious meals, light housework, or popping to the shops.

  • Specialist Care: Providing vital support for those with complex needs or palliative care requirements.

  • The Power of Connection: Sometimes the most important thing you do is sit down for a cup of tea and a chat, breaking the cycle of isolation.

Professional Training & Growth

The world of home care has changed, and so has our training. We don't just hand you a uniform; we invest in your professional development.

  • Comprehensive Induction: From day one, you are supported with full training, including advanced infection control and the latest health protocols.

  • Qualifications: We guide and fund our staff through Diplomas in Health & Social Care, helping you turn a job into a lifelong profession.

  • Ongoing Support: We provide your DBS check, full uniform, a GDPR-compliant work mobile, and a dedicated mentor to support you every step of the way.

  • Continuous Training: From your first day at The Coach House we invest in your skills — because the gold standard of care we are known for across North Shropshire is only possible when the people delivering it are properly equipped, consistently supported, and never sent into a situation they are not prepared for.

Real Rewards for Real Work

We know that our staff are our greatest asset, and we treat you like family. We offer:

  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: We pay for mileage and travel time, with bank holidays paid at double time.

  • Bonuses and Rewards: We give our team paid days off for their birthday and bonuses for a full month’s attendance.

  • True Work-Life Balance: We pride ourselves on flexible hours. We only roster you within your agreed availability. If you have a regular weekend or evening off, we respect it.

  • Supply Resilience: We ensure you always have the high-quality PPE and equipment you need to do your job safely and confidently.

Staff felt well supported and trained to carry out their role effectively and meet people’s individual needs. New staff received induction training and were accompanied and supported by the management and senior staff to enhance their induction and extend if necessary.
