Our Story
North Shropshire Homecare was founded in 2011 with a simple, unwavering mission: to deliver the highest quality care for you or your loved ones, exactly when you need it. Since our humble beginnings, we have grown into a leading provider of domiciliary care in the local area, known for our reliability, expertise, and compassionate approach.
Founded by Maggie Allen, North Shropshire Homecare has evolved from a small partnership into the robust, family-run business it is today. We are proud of our reputation for going above and beyond, day and night, for our clients.
Because of this dedication, our team now delivers essential care to people all over Whitchurch, Tilstock, Higher Heath, Ash, Prees, Whixall, Wem and the surrounding areas. We aren't just a service provider; we are a part of the community we serve.
Meet Our Founder: Maggie Allen
Founder & Registered Manager
Maggie’s journey in care began in 1995 at Elmhurst Nursing Home, where she specialised in nursing and dementia care. Over her 11 years there, she rose to become a Senior Carer and eventually the Registered Manager.
Before founding North Shropshire Homecare, Maggie managed a domiciliary care company for four years, honing the expertise needed to build a team that prioritises both safety and the human touch.
Beyond her professional work, Maggie is a dedicated supporter of the local community, organising countless fundraisers for local causes and national charities like the Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer’s Society.
“People who used this service reported it to be well led and everyone had knowledge of who the manager was and in fact, spoke of them with warmth and familiarity. One person told us, “The company seems well run to me. I am very happy with it at the moment.” The manager was regularly described as being approachable and people said they would highly recommend the service provided.”
